Calculation method & scope

Running costs

Annual fleet hours = trucks × hours per day × days per year. Diesel energy cost = fleet hours × litres per hour × diesel price. Electric grid energy = fleet hours × battery kWh per hour ÷ charging efficiency. Maintenance = fleet hours × maintenance per hour.

Investment & break-even

TCO = initial investment + projected running costs + applicable battery replacement − final resale. Break-even is the last crossing into non-negative cumulative net savings that remains non-negative through the selected period. Operating savings accrue evenly within each year; replacement and resale occur at year end.

Comparison basis

All trucks perform the same workload. Rates are entered on one VAT basis; VAT is not added or removed. Cost increases compound annually from year 2. Values are nominal and undiscounted. Rounding affects display only.

What to confirm

Validate consumption, site tariff, charger efficiency, duty cycle and maintenance against actual records and an application-matched Orizen quote. Finance, tax, insurance, downtime, demand charges, backup power and productivity differences are excluded unless included in your entered allowances. No environmental savings are assumed.
